Hello! Welcome to Keeping Up with the Joneses. Thanks for stopping by! We're a young couple living in the East Arkansas/Memphis area otherwise known as The Delta, with a love for family, friends, faith and food.

We believe that some of the best memories are created at home around the dinner table, and when entertaining those you love. This little blog is where I share recipes, wine, our home and our life. Enjoy! -Kendall

What You'll Find:

I love to try new recipes. In fact, I rarely make the same thing twice. I'm a bona-fide cookbook collector, Pinterest addict and magazine aficionado. On the blog, you'll see what I've got cooking.

I love wine, y'all, so from time to time I feature bottles I've loved. Crafts and decorating our little house are passions of mine, so you may see some of that. Thanks for stopping by!

The MOH / FOTW

As promised, my Friend-of-the-Week is Jeni Bennett! She's also been my trusty Maid of Honor and I'm going to be her Matron of Honor in August when she ties the knot (hence the code word post title).

Anyway, we became friends in the 9th grade when I came to CAC high school. We've pretty much been best friends ever since! I've known her for like 10 years, and she's always been great to me.

She's spunky, full of life, bold, funny, happy almost all of the time, and is always the life-of-the-party and ball of energy in any group of people. Oh yes, and I'll say again, she's very funny!!

One of my favorite memories is when Jeni decided to transfer from Harding to the UofA for her sophomore year, and she pledged Tridelt! I was sad that she had been apart from me for the past year, so having her come to Fayetteville and become my new sister was extremely exciting.

We've always dreamed of our weddings together so it was so special to have her as my Maid of Honor last June.

(Jeni and her adorable nephew, Hunter, the ring bearer extraordinaire)

Jeni and I have always been close. In a lot of ways we are so similar, and in a lot of ways we are very different, which is why I think our friendship is unique, and so strong.

I can't wait for her big day coming in August. She's going to marry the man of her dreams, Sam, and she is so happy it's contagious!

I am sad though because she's moved away to Indiana to be with Sam. So, as much as I like him, I'm a little bitter about her being so far from me! Oh well, that's just my selfishness :)
I'm not worried one bit about the distance affecting our friendship. It's so easy to pick up the phone and call her, and she's always a great listener!

Thanks again, Jeni, for your flowers last week. They have bloomed to be so beautiful!

I can't wait for Friday when we go shop for your WEDDING DRESS! AHH, crazy!! Can you believe it? See you then. Love you!
