Hello! Welcome to Keeping Up with the Joneses. Thanks for stopping by! We're a young couple living in the East Arkansas/Memphis area otherwise known as The Delta, with a love for family, friends, faith and food.

We believe that some of the best memories are created at home around the dinner table, and when entertaining those you love. This little blog is where I share recipes, wine, our home and our life. Enjoy! -Kendall

What You'll Find:

I love to try new recipes. In fact, I rarely make the same thing twice. I'm a bona-fide cookbook collector, Pinterest addict and magazine aficionado. On the blog, you'll see what I've got cooking.

I love wine, y'all, so from time to time I feature bottles I've loved. Crafts and decorating our little house are passions of mine, so you may see some of that. Thanks for stopping by!

Cheer up, hubby

Poor Keith. All he does is study. This Monday he had a big test, and he did great! I was so proud of him. But, no time for rest, for there is another HUGE test this next Monday (over the bodies). So, tonight he was feeling pretty tired and not wanting to study. He was pouting a little. My solution? Cheer him up! Everybody's gotta laugh sometimes. I knew just the trick.

This Christmas, my dear sweet mother-in-law gave Meagan and I these "outfits". She usually has such excellent taste in gifts, especially clothing. We aren't totally sure what she was thinking, but these have actually proven useful!

So, I went back to the closet. Suited up and came running out, ready to inspire!

In.....a......hotter-than-crap.........ONESY!

Yeah, baby! Needless to say, this worked. I ran around the house a little bit, feeling much like a flying squirrel. And decided that if this was gonna keep his spirits high, I would have to wear it all night. Yep, cook dinner in it, blog in it. I'm still wearing it now.

I must say, it's comfy. It just zips up and is only fitted at the wrists and ankles, and notice how there isn't really at "crotch". Hence the flying squirrel feeling.

Too bad my sister-in-law already busted hers. She tried to put 2 people in it. Hah!

My mother in law knows how cold I get, so maybe this was her way of giving me a "wearable blanket", but I would have settled for the latest craze, the Snuggie:

But, no, I don't have that. Mine is the real deal. A full-on ONESY.
I just pulled it up on the "Plow & Hearth" website, because that's where it apparently came from. I learned that it's officially called the "Microfleece Slumber Sack". That's hilarious. Truly hilarious.
Get ready for romance, hubby, I'm puttin' on the Slumber Sack!!
And yes, I feel as pretty as this woman when I wear it.

I suggest you get one too, while they're on sale.
