Hello! Welcome to Keeping Up with the Joneses. Thanks for stopping by! We're a young couple living in the East Arkansas/Memphis area otherwise known as The Delta, with a love for family, friends, faith and food.

We believe that some of the best memories are created at home around the dinner table, and when entertaining those you love. This little blog is where I share recipes, wine, our home and our life. Enjoy! -Kendall

What You'll Find:

I love to try new recipes. In fact, I rarely make the same thing twice. I'm a bona-fide cookbook collector, Pinterest addict and magazine aficionado. On the blog, you'll see what I've got cooking.

I love wine, y'all, so from time to time I feature bottles I've loved. Crafts and decorating our little house are passions of mine, so you may see some of that. Thanks for stopping by!

What've I been doing?

....obviously not blogging. I fell off that wagon this week!

Sorry for the lack of updates these past few days. There's no particular reason for it other than being busy and lazy, since I do believe both go together sometimes! When you're on the computer all day, it's often the last thing you want to do when you are home. And, we haven't had anything too exciting happen around here lately.

All is pretty well in our world. Keith had a test on Monday, so we've been enjoying the down time after that. There have been a lot of social events with Dental school lately. So, I've been doing my First Lady duties of meetin' and greetin' young, bright, D1 students. Oh, and the cocktails at these mixers have made for some nice happy hours after a busy day at work.

In fact, Keith and I had a date on Saturday. A real date. Like, alone. We haven't done that in forever! Of course, we're together a lot at home, but there's a difference in planning a special date versus just going through the motions each week. It was exciting - dinner and a movie :)
We've realized that we've been so busy with weekends full of weddings, traveling, guests, couples nights, etc. that we aren't doing a very good job of focusing on each other. So, we've promised to do a better job at that.

This 2nd year of school is tough; we won't deny it! Keith is tired and frustrated more then he's ever been (I don't blame him) and the cram-style study session every-other-week is draining. But, he's doing good and I'm really proud of him. The good news is that this bad year doesn't last forever and it's all going to be worth it. I try to be a good wife and encourage him :)

Anyway, y'all have a great week! I'll aim to do some better bloggin' :)

PS- the movie we saw was Julie & Julia. I LOVED IT!! Keith liked it, too. Meryl Streep is such a phenom.
