Monday, the girls watched our beloved Jilli on the Bachelorette (thank goodness she finally got rid of Wes! I mean seriously!? I like Ed A LOT, but Reid is darn cute, too....I digress....). I could do a whole 'nother post on that show.
Tuesday, we all went to Central BBQ together, our favorite Memphis eatery! Yes, I dare say, it IS better than Rendezvous.
AND there was Thursday: the ladies went to see WICKED!!!!!! Oh, there are not enough words to describe that show!!
Tyler, Kendall, Julie and Kayla heading off for one Wicked night...
Sitting in our awesome seats at The Orpheum (another wonderful Memphis must-do).
WICKED was absolutely wonderful. If you EVER get the chance to see it. Go. Just go. You will LOVE IT!
I had no idea it'd be so darn funny! My fave was Glinda, the good witch.
"It's Guh-Linda. With a GUH!"
Saturday night we all got together again to have dinner and pick back up with our regular game night tradition.
And the camera was out in full force. Brace yourselves for lots of pics...
The Joneses, Siscos, Puryears and Hartmans had dinner at Flying Fish. Afterwards, we hiked up 7 flights of stairs to the top of the parking garage to get to the car. It was exhausting, but the view was worth it (of downtown Memphis).
Hey Hartmans- you SO should have come over afterwards for game night. We missed ya'll!
My favorite picture of the group. Thank you, Mr. Self Timer.
Then, the games began. We love MAD GAB and Catch Phrase!
It was Guh-irls versus Buh-oys in honor of Guh-linda from Wicked.
Allow me to introduce Keith's lazy eye (see above). It will be a recurring theme for the night.
Mad Gab can be really hard sometimes
The ladies are really good at this!!
Yes, they literally did the "Goooooooo Boys!"
Then we switched to Catch Phrase...
Was this a clue for one of the words?? I can't recall...
I love Julie's clues:
Yeah, it's in a crock pot. Your mom makes it. Pahhhh. Row. You know, Pot Roast!?
Keith likes to take his sweet time when the buzzing thing is in his hands. The boy has no sense of urgency, bless his heart.
How to describe 'kumquat'? SKIP!
And the lazy eye returns:
Charles was making his special "Puryey" drinks. And we all liked them a lot. Too much, actually. We proceeded to party like we were all 19 again. Why not!?
What? I see no problem with partying!
In an effort to avoid more lazy eye, Keith over compensates. We all find this hilarious.
Trav- no lazy eye!
Kendall- no lazy eye!
Keith and Trav- still trying to avoid the lazy eye!
Cute Puryears- our fearless hosts for the night!
And Charles steals a picture with Travis' lady. Sneaky Sneaky.
Then, around 1:00 am, the dancing began.
Hey, I told you we partied like we were 19 again! I wasn't lyin'!
Don't mess with this school teacher. No ma'am!
This is the only dancing picture I will post. The rest are just too silly. TOO silly, I tell ya.
So, I'll leave you with this picture. As I feel it best sums up our wild and crazy couples night:
All in good fun. All in good fun, my friends.
