Hello! Welcome to Keeping Up with the Joneses. Thanks for stopping by! We're a young couple living in the East Arkansas/Memphis area otherwise known as The Delta, with a love for family, friends, faith and food.

We believe that some of the best memories are created at home around the dinner table, and when entertaining those you love. This little blog is where I share recipes, wine, our home and our life. Enjoy! -Kendall

What You'll Find:

I love to try new recipes. In fact, I rarely make the same thing twice. I'm a bona-fide cookbook collector, Pinterest addict and magazine aficionado. On the blog, you'll see what I've got cooking.

I love wine, y'all, so from time to time I feature bottles I've loved. Crafts and decorating our little house are passions of mine, so you may see some of that. Thanks for stopping by!

Menu Monday 9/20

It's ba-ack! The Jones' weekly menu has returned! This is the first week in many where we plan to eat at home almost every night. Wooohoo! I love it.

Here we go:

menu9-20

From top left:

Autumn Leaf Cupcakes - I made these yesterday for three reasons: 1) I owed a thank you gesture to someone that likes chocolate, 2) they are so darn cute! and 3) who needs an excuse to make cupcakes? The recipe is from Betty Crocker and was really simple. Keith says they are so delicous, so I'll do a post dedicated to them this week!

Havarti Shrimp Quesadillas - Yum. This recipe from Taste of Home sounds very good! I can't wait to try these out tonight. It's got fabulous Havarti cheese, mushrooms, shrimp and apricot preserves. Mmm, these should be good so I'll share the recipe after we've tried them.

Chicken Caprese - This is our favorite go-to chicken dish. Haven't I said that before? The recipe is from Rachel Ray and it's so easy. We've got friends coming over for dinner tomorrow night, and this will be great to throw on the grill and socialize on the patio. We'll have a side Caesar salad and some crescent rolls. That's easy entertaining!

Steak with Burgundy Mushroom Sauce - This Pioneer Woman dish is very tasty. I've made it once before and loved it. Since I was already buying mushrooms for the 'dillas, I thought this would be a nice way to use the rest. Plus, cooking with wine? Sign me up.

What do you plan to make this week!?
