Hippity Hoppity House

I FINALLY got on the ball and decorated for Spring this weekend. I'd managed to let the first couple of weeks in March get away from me. Martha says you can start decorating for spring/Easter on March 1st. I can't believe I was 12 days behind, gasp! Especially because it's such a fun refresh after the January/February blues. I'm usually dying to put seasonal decor out before it's time!

Martha and I will just have to get over my delay.

I will say, the house looks happier now. Ready to welcome warmer weather and green grass! Take a look around:

This was in my Easter basket last year from Ms Penny.

The wreath Mom and I made last year still looks pretty great after being in a trash bag in the attic for so long!

Wreath + Cake Plate + Bunnies = Coffee Table Decor

A basket of eggs and a hazelnut candle that has changed my life.

The candle is from a cute local shop here in Marion called the Merry Magnolia. Stop by, friends, and get one of their soy candles. Trust me.

A nesting table I stole from another room in the house to put between my newly slipcovered chairs.
I added my egg plate, yellow eggs, and a spring topiary. Not sure if I like this set-up yet.

My kitchen table. I think this is my favorite.

A beautiful bowl I recently purchased at Pier 1.
Once I saw it and it's great price, I knew it would not stay on the shelf long, so I snagged it. I filled it with moss and some pale eggs I bought at the Pier last year.

 I also got these floral napkin rings at Pier 1, too. They have tons of cute stuff right now!

He, too, spoils me. I love love LOVE fresh flowers inside our house.
Just a few bucks for a fresh mixture is worth it to me and my hubs :)


In other news, I'm trying my hand at a *bit* of gardening. I'm hoping I don't kill these because I'm really excited.

I'm tired of spending money on fresh herbs and getting more than I need, so I've got a mini-herb garden going out on our patio.

I bought the colorful planters from Home Depot, and the plants.

Basil, Onion Chives and Cilantro.
Swoon.
I love you the most, Basil.

The white ones aren't doing as well as the others, but I'll work on them.
