Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and were able to sneak in some time to relax. We definitely did! Our Saturday was amazing - no agenda, no to do list, nowhere we had to be. That never happens!
Here is a delicious french toast recipe that is super easy and very tasty. Perfect for a weekend. Yummmmmm...
5 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup half-and-half or milk
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
10 slices country buttermilk bread
2 tablespoons butter or vegetable oil
Toppings:

Instructions:
- In a shallow dish, beat together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Dip bread slices into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees. Place a baking sheet or serving platter in the oven. In a skillet, or on a griddle, melt 1 tablespoon of the butter over medium heat and spread over cooking surface.
- Add half of the bread slices and cook for 4-6 minutes or until golden, turning once. To keep the toast warm, transfer to the oven.
- Repeat with remaining butter and bread slices.
- Serve with additional butter, maple syrups, bananas, blueberries and powdered sugar.
Happy Monday!
