Don't you love it when you flip through the channels and land on a classic, chick-flick, tear-jerker movie? You've seen them a thousand times, you love the stories, you KNOW what happens and which parts get you chocked up. So, why do you stay and watch again? Women. We get sucked in every time. I sure do, especially when I'm alone.
Something is comforting about these movies. Even if they're sad, these classics have so many good life lessons. Tonight, Keith's studying, and I found Hope Floats playing on CMT, channel 56 here in Marion :)
Gosh, the scene where Sandra Bullock is laying on the floor of the bathroom crying, or when her sweet eccentric mom dies, mmm especially when Harry Connick Jr. sweeps her off her feet at the end. Classic. It's super sappy and sad. I think I own the soundtrack, ha! It's a shame the characters names are so bad (Birdie, Bernice...really?).
But, the all-time, #1, cry fest movie is Steel Magnolias. Oh my goodness I love this movie. Ohhh, Shhhellllby. Between Julia Roberts and Sally Field, it's wraught with emotion. Maybe that's coming on next.....
