Hello! Welcome to Keeping Up with the Joneses. Thanks for stopping by! We're a young couple living in the East Arkansas/Memphis area otherwise known as The Delta, with a love for family, friends, faith and food.

We believe that some of the best memories are created at home around the dinner table, and when entertaining those you love. This little blog is where I share recipes, wine, our home and our life. Enjoy! -Kendall

What You'll Find:

I love to try new recipes. In fact, I rarely make the same thing twice. I'm a bona-fide cookbook collector, Pinterest addict and magazine aficionado. On the blog, you'll see what I've got cooking.

I love wine, y'all, so from time to time I feature bottles I've loved. Crafts and decorating our little house are passions of mine, so you may see some of that. Thanks for stopping by!

Shake it like a salt shaker

Friday night was busy for the Joneses. We went and saw the new 007 movie with a group from Keith's D1 class. It was pretty intense. We had to sit on the second row, so by the time it was over, I was mentally exhausted. But, Daniel Craig is pretty hot and looks great in his pants.

Am I right!?

ANYWAY, afterwards, we ate at McAlisters and I was introduced to an interesting trick. You shake out salt on a table, into a pile, and balance the salt shaker on it's side. It's not easy to do. But, you have to be patient. Like teenagers that had never been out in public before, all 7 people at our table had to try to do it. My new "dental school wife" friend, Kayla, was really determined. I'm ot sure if she actually ate her food. But, she finally got it and I got a picture (below).

Later that night, we went to Yosemite Sams for karoke with a huge group of dental folk. It was really entertaing to say the least. The one song we had decided to sing: "Total Eclipse of the Heart" wasn't even on the dang roster, so we just watched. Either way, fun times. See, Keith and I are making friends. We're social.
