Hello! Welcome to Keeping Up with the Joneses. Thanks for stopping by! We're a young couple living in the East Arkansas/Memphis area otherwise known as The Delta, with a love for family, friends, faith and food.

We believe that some of the best memories are created at home around the dinner table, and when entertaining those you love. This little blog is where I share recipes, wine, our home and our life. Enjoy! -Kendall

What You'll Find:

I love to try new recipes. In fact, I rarely make the same thing twice. I'm a bona-fide cookbook collector, Pinterest addict and magazine aficionado. On the blog, you'll see what I've got cooking.

I love wine, y'all, so from time to time I feature bottles I've loved. Crafts and decorating our little house are passions of mine, so you may see some of that. Thanks for stopping by!

Family Dinner

Sorry for the lack of blogging lately! I've been crazy busy at work and just tired and lazy at home! What you've missed: not much at all :) Keith had a test, he did great! I did some fall shopping with the girls, we saw Couples Retreat (hilarious), and my parents came in town this weekend.

As luck would have it, my Grandparents were driving back home to Little Rock on Saturday from their trip up north to watch the leaves change. They passed through Memphis just in time to watch the hogs game and stay for dinner. Such good timing! The Joneses also came over and we had a feast! Here are the pics:

My grandma is so beautiful. Oh yes, and Dad you are handsome, too.

My Papa Doc. Remember him? Told you all about this great man here.

Keith's brother, Ryan, and his girlfriend, Shelby. Aren't they cute!? Oh to be 16 again!

A table set for good food and laughs.

The kids table, which my in-laws wouldn't let Keith and I sit at. They made us sit with the grown ups :)

Grill master, Keith!

Lots of steaks, and lots of veggies!

The Bollens and Joneses
My Dad has something in his teeth (on purpose to ruin the picture), not sure if you can tell...

The Joneses (minus our Meagan) make use of the camera self timer.

Man, we ate like kings!!! Later on that night, when everyone was laughing in the living room at my Dad's jokes and Papa Doc's sense of humor (or was it Bob's shenanigans?), Keith and I were alone in the kitchen doing some clean up. We just hugged and listened to everybody for a minute. I said, "I love having everyone here...". "Me too," he said. "Me too."

Your post put the biggest smile on my face! Family dinners are great. I admit I am a little jealous your family is only 2 hours away from you. See you soon!
